Happy Spring! Where did March go?! We’re loving the longer, warmer days and the fabulous spring skiing and hope this weather isn’t some cruel April Fool’s Day joke! Sew Steamboat is gearing up for some fun, spring events and stocking up for those warm weather projects. We hope to see all our friends in the shop soon.
Here are a few updates/reminders:
- We will be CLOSED on Sundays beginning Sunday, April 21st until Sunday, May 19th.
- We will also be conducting a physical inventory at the store on April 22nd and 23rd and the store will be CLOSED on both days.
- Local Yarn Store Day (LYSD) is on Saturday, April 27th. We will be gathering at the store for a FREE technique class with Stephanie at 11am. A pot luck lunch will be enjoyed at 12pm. We hope you can come and celebrate with us!
- Mother's Day Gift Buying Event is on Saturday, May 4th during store hours. Come visit us and you may just find your loved ones 'Wish List' at the store!
I recently read the book “Educated” by Tara Westover named one of the 10 best books of 2018 by the New York Times Book Review. This is a thought provoking memoir and a must read for those of you who enjoy true stories of resilience. Tara tells her story of defying the odds of surviving a childhood in the mountains of Idaho with little or no medical care, no education and family violence. She overcame it all in her quest for knowledge on her way to Harvard and Cambridge. I hope you’ll enjoy this book as much as I did. Stephanie
