I just cannot stop knitting with Extra yarn by Blue Sky Alpaca! The texture of this yarn is very soft and lush, made with 55% Baby Alpaca and 45% Fine Merino. Light, but warm and lofty, with a springy twist. It is a very versatile Aran weight yarn that will create many beautiful projects.
The Extra yarn is recommended for any projects, especially because of its generous yardage. At 218 yards, this yarn is great for one- and two- skein holiday gifts such as gloves, mitts, hats, cowls, scarfs, etc.
At the moment, I am knitting my 5th Tokyo Tower bandana cowl, designed especially for Extra by Blue Sky Alpaca. The design is very simple and because of this luscious yarn, you will never be able to put down your project!
What's On Our Needles: Lynn Wunder
Ultra Alpaca by Berroco
I have a lot of projects currently on needles. My first priority is to finish a cute hat from some old Rowan wool, which I acquired from my Mom. The hat will go with mittens I knitted to the United Way Holiday Exchange. We are still accepting hats, mittens and scarves! I'm also working on a wine bottle gift bag from our beautiful Berroco Ultra Alpaca...bright green with white snowflakes! This worsted weight yarn is made from 50% Alpaca and 50% Wool. See below for a special offer. Lastly, I am slowly finishing a pretty little cowl, "selfishly" for myself, out of luscious cashmere. Wine anyone?
